Glenn Cunningham was born 4 Aug 1909 and inducted into the Navy on 11 April 1944, he served to 12 June 1946, remaining in the Reserves until 7 Oct 1952. He was commissioned on 24 May 1944 as a Lt. (junior grade). Having represented the US in two different Olympic games, he was assigned to provide physical training and do public speaking for the Navy.
