My Story of Service
My Uncle Kenny served in Manila and was attacked on 12/08/41. He was a jungle fighter for 5 months before being captured in April 1942. He endured the 70 mile Bataan death march he was a POW in the Philippines until Dec. 1944 when he was shipped on a "hell ship" for 7 weeks to Moji Japan for the final 8 months of the war. He was rescued in late Aug. 1945. He was 6 ft. tall and weighed 180 when he enlisted, came back to San Francisco at 108 Lbs. Later married his nurse and gave me 2 cousins.
