My Story of Service
I joined KU's NROTC program in 1970 as a 17-year-old freshman. Upon graduation in January 1975 I was commissioned a Marine Corps 2nd lieutenant. After graduating from infantry officer and combat engineering officer schools I was stationed in the Western Pacific. From there I was deployed twice. I was honorably discharged from the Marines in January 1979.
